Seeds on the Rocky/Shallow Soil

Bible Quizzing is for any teen in our community that is in 6th-12th grade. We meet every Sunday evening at the church from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Bible Quizzing is a ministry of the Free Methodist Church that combines Bible study and Christian competition for youth throughout the United States. The purpose is to establish youth in their faith through the systematic study, application, and memorization of the Word of God.
At weekly practices, coaches strive to balance the three main components of quizzing: learning and applying the Bible, having fun and fellowship, and practicing to compete with other churches.
Teams of three teens quiz against teams from other churches at monthly conference or regional tournaments by jumping off electronic chairs to earn the opportunity to answer questions about a certain book of the Bible. Each year selected books of the New Testament (NIV) are studied throughout the school year, and the season culminates with National Bible Quiz Finals held at a Free Methodist College. This year Nationals will be held at Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, WA in late June.
This year the material is the book of Acts. We provide all study materials and resources for each quizzer.
Practice will be Sunday evenings from 6-7 p.m. at the church.
Meets are held monthly on the first Saturday of the month from October to May. We encourage all quizzers to attend the monthly meets. Meets typically go from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (plus driving time) at various churches in our conference and surrounding conferences. Transportation to all meets will be provided.
