Pastor’s Puter

From the Pastor’s ‘Puter:

Winter is now two thirds over and spring is on its way.  At the Casey’s store by my house they are counting down the days to spring.  It is so exciting to see the numbers growing smaller each time I am in there!

Looking back at January, we were blessed to have John and Donna Reynolds with us one Sunday.  John did an excellent job and updating us on their ministry in Guatemala and preaching the Word!

We have been preaching through an awesome series on growing in Christ.  It was fun to have Pastor Brian and Pastor C. J. each bring one of the messages.  We are continuing on with the Holy Spirit and The Fruit of the Spirit.

Some upcoming events you may be interested in: This Sunday, February 5, beginning at 4:30 p.m., we will have our annual Super Bowl Party in the Fellowship Hall.  Even if you don’t like football come for the food and fellowship!

Saturday, February 11, the Bible Quizzers will be having a bake sale at Dollar General beginning at 8:00 a.m.  They would love to have baked goods if you would like to donate them.  You may drop your items off at the church kitchen on the Friday before.

On Friday, February 17, there will be a Trivia Bowl for the youth group’s trip to Colorado this summer.  Register with Stephanie Dyas or the church office by Feb. 15. Cost is $10 per person.  They are also selling homemade cinnamon rolls and/or coffee cake to support FMYC

On Saturday, February 25, there will be a Dinner By the Lake at Durley Family Camp.  This will begin at 5:30 p.m. and in addition to the meal they will be updating us on property and programing of the camp ground.  If you are interesting in attending this event you need to RSVP by Feb. 12 @: 618-664-2584 or Durleycamp1@gmail.com

As you can see February is a full month!  Try to stay connected!

Have a happy and blessed month and please know that you and your families are prayed for by your pastors and their families!

Love and prayers!
Pastor Randy
