What We Believe

We Believe…

There is but one living and true God, the maker and preserver of all things.

Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Jesus Christ is risen victorious from the dead. He now sits as our exalted Lord at the right hand of God the Father, acting on our behalf. He will return to judge all people.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is God effective in Creation, in life and in the church. He is the administrator of the salvation planned by the Father and provided by the Son’s death, resurrection and ascension. The Holy Spirit is poured out upon the church by the Father and the Son. He is the church’s life and witnessing power. He is the Spirit of truth to the world and His instruments is the Word of God.

The Bible is God’s written Word, uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit. It bears unerring witness to Jesus Christ, the living Word. The Bible has authority over all human life.

Christ offered once and for all the one perfect sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. No other satisfaction for sin is necessary; none other can accomplish this.

The church is created by God. It is the people of God. Christ Jesus is its Lord and Head.

We are…

Devoted to Christ – All should have a personal Relationship with Jesus Christ and have an obedient walk with Him.

Students of the Bible – The inspired, authoritative Word of God is the basis of our faith.

Living Holy Lives – As a people we seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), exhibit the fruit of the Spirit (Galations 5:22-23), and live disciplined lives in accord with the Bible’s teachings.

Worshiping – We seek to worship God “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23), employing a wide variety of worship styles, but always devoted to the concept that the heart of worship is to glorify God and receive Biblical instruction.

Witnessing – Our goal is to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known. This is done through our daily living and sharing of the gospel’s good news.

Generous – Because we love the Lord, we follow His example in caring and generosity. The focus of compassionate outreach is local, national and international.

Global-Minded – We support Missionaries in many parts of the world who are helping to fulfill the Great Commission. (Matthew 28: 18-20)
